Even highly skilled cows and pigs fail at cooking sometimes. We thought avocado would make a cool, refreshing summer soup. Maybe it does. These avocados did not.
Bloopers are especially sad when we really like the photos but the food itself does not taste good (like those pear muffins). It's a challenge to photograph soup, especially soup THAT color, but we think we did a nice job.

We made it a little better the following night when we spiced it up with some Mexican flavors and corn. Unfortunately, it was still not a recipe worth sharing. We haven't given up on avocado soup, though! We are sure there must be a recipe out there somewhere that will yield the cool, refreshing summer soup we were going for.

I think that's brilliant that you include your failures on your blog. It's nice to see that we're all "human" and even the best sounding recipe can sometimes go awry. Thanks for sharing.
