Cookie Extravaganza! Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies

Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies are one of our all-time favorites. They are crispy on the edges, soft in the middle and filled with yummy gooeyness. This recipe is adapted from The All New Good Housekeeping Cookbook.

ingredients
3/4 c flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 c butter, softened
1/2 c sugar
1/3 light brown sugar, packed
1 egg
1 Tbsp vanilla
1 1/2 c old fashioned oats, uncooked
3/4 c chocolate chips

instructions
1. preheat oven to 350

2. in a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt

3. in the bowl of an electric mixer, cream butter and sugars until fluffy.

4. beat in egg and vanilla.

5. beat in flour mixture

6. mix in oats and chocolate chips by hand.

7. drop tablespoons of dough onto a cookie sheet, 2 inches apart. bake 10-15 min, depending on desired crispiness.

8. cool on a wire rack.

These cookies came out great. We were a little worried at first because they were cooking similarly to the chocolate chip ones we made yesterday, but once they cooled they look normal and taste excellent.

Moo!
